Situated along the
shores of three sparkling lakes, Windsong
is a new community within one of Florida's
oldest. Located in the center of old Winter
Park and mirroring the old-world charm
of the area, Windsong's neighborhoods
are as lovely as the peacock-graced lawns
of the original estate.
The new communities
are located adjacent to the property
where the original Windsong estate home
still sits preserving the large oaks,
old cypress trees, and fragrant orange
trees. In this beautiful community,
sidewalks meander through lush landscapes
and paths open to reveal beautiful fountains
and elegant gazebos.
Living in Windsong gives you access to
the Chain of Lakes from a private boat
dock, complete with a neighborhood pontoon
boat, ski boat, and a fleet of canoes
and kayaks. There are two resident pool
clubs for your enjoyment or you may choose
to relax in one of the many waterfront
parks. The
Residents Club Water Park features a children's
water playground, baby pool and family
pool with lap lanes. Technology
advances are easily available in our new
homes and the community features the latest
high-speed broadband communications backbone.

The Windsong estate came into being in
1904 when Chicago Industrialist Charles
Hosmer Morse purchased 200 acres around
lakes Virginia, Berry, and Mizell. Morse's
daughter, Elizabeth Morse Genius, and
her husband built a Mediterranean-style
villa that epitomized the charming, old-world
style of Winter Park. It was here on a
particular summer evening that one of
the ladies hung a bell from the branch
of a tree. The cool lake breezes caused
the bell to sound sweetly. Soon, bells
and wind chimes hung throughout the estate.
Their clear, gentle ringing inspired the
name Windsong.
Known as the "City
of Gracious Living," Winter Park, Florida,
is one of America's most appealing cities.
It's scenic beauty, tranquil environment, and
abundance of art and culture have made it a
showplace residential area since the late 1800's.
Brick-lined streets meander through quaint neighborhoods.
Mediterranean, Greek, Victorian, Revival, and
arts and crafts-period architecture creature
an eclectic atmosphere. Picturesque lakes
with old Venetian canals surround residential
areas. Beautiful parks, old majestic trees,
and botanical gardens are abundant. The
area is host to frequent arts and music festivals.
And, although it feels as if it's worlds away,
it's only a few miles from downtown Orlando.
