Lake Mary/Heathrow Festival of the Arts The Lake Mary/Heathrow Festival of the Arts is held each year at the International Business Park in Lake Mary and has quickly become Seminole County's most prestigious event. Every year approximately 250 artists exhibit their works. The exhibit includes painting, graphics, photography, sculpture, glass, pottery, jewelry, wood, mixed media and crafts and prizes were awarded. |

Lake Mary has been actively developing a city wide parks and recreation system for the enjoyment of its citizens. The Community Center serves the social, cultural, recreational and educational activities of the citizens of Lake Mary and the surrounding areas. In addition, a variety of parks are available to fit every need.
An active Sports Complex provides for baseball, softball,
soccer, tennis, basketball, skate boarding, inline skating and freestyle
bicycling, as well as open playing fields. The naturally beautiful Liberty Park
has large picnic pavilions, trails, playgrounds, and a boardwalk. Central Park
boasts an amphitheater hosting local shows as well as professional
entertainment. (Central Park is temporarily closed due to
renovations) Lake Mary has something for everyone!
For the golf enthusiast, close by there are 3 of Central Florida’s top-rated
country clubs boasting championship golf courses - Heathrow,
Alaqua and Timacuan
country clubs.
For those who play soccer, the U. S. Soccer Federation's National Training
Center is just a few miles north where amateurs and professionals train and
compete. The Seminole Soccer Club, offering youth competition, occupies the
Center nearly every weekend!
There is an endless variety of water recreation . The pristine Wekiva River is just minutes away and offers the canoeist the natural beauty of
Florida. The beautiful St. Johns River is world renowned for its fishing and
wildlife. Lake Monroe holds the Citrus Sailfest, the largest inland sailing
regatta in the nation. Of course, the beaches and all the fun the ocean has to
offer are close enough to enjoy anytime.
