Teachers and students at Skeen Elementary work closely with Leesburg High School teachers and students in a joint cooperation that benefits all involved. ROTC students from Leesburg High tutor Skeen students in academic subjects, while art and theator students help out with school plays.

Skeen Elementary received their first funding in April, 1998 which has allowed them to begin implementing their School-To-Work mini-grant initiatives.
