During the 1996-97 school year, Eustis Middle School received exemplary practices funding to develop a guidance and resource center which includes the video series, "Enter Here." The Enter Here series of videos are shown during home room.

Teachers at Eustis Middle School also held a curriculum writing team session during the summer of 1997 to produce lesson plans.

In addition, EMS administrators graciously hosted the two day Lake and Sumter School-To-Work Summer Institute in June, 1997, as well as the WorkPlace Academy II orientation meeting.

Eustis Middle school received funding for their STW initiative for the 1997-98 school year; this funding was received in April, 1998.
